It was a great real Sri Lankan experience with the locals. We met local the fisherman from the area, cooked traditional Sri Lankan food with local women and even visited the markets that can see a lot of new plants, and spices, and vagetables, and fish. We got a lot of inside information from the knowledgeable local guides about the area, culture, people, history etc. Visiting the weaving communites was fantastic and it was a colourful experience to see how the handloom clothes are made. The food was so delicious and fresh. Thank you so much for organizing such an amazing Sri Lankan experience

We had fun & interesting day visiting he sights of Batticaloa, including the beautiful Hindu temple, the lighthouse (the only structure on that side of the island to survive the tsunami), the lagoon, & various local communities including fishermen and weaving communities. We also had lunch with a local family which was delicious. All this, & helping the local community while having fun is a very special experience.

We went with bicycle in Batti to several places of interest and so on. Their guides are from Batti and can tell a lot of interesting details to the local sights, as well as explain the culture, politics and history. They are them-self inside the communities and can tell you all you want to know. Highly recommonded as a must do in Batticoloa.
